Indian Army Strengthens Multi-Agency Security Preparedness Through Joint Training Capsule at Laipuli

Digboi: Reinforcing its commitment to Military-Civil Fusion and integrated security in the Northeast, the Red Shield Division of the Indian Army, under the aegis of Spear Corps, has concluded a comprehensive three-day Joint Training Capsule from August 3 to August 5 at Laipuli. The program brought together personnel from the Assam Police, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), and Assam Rifles.

The specialized training capsule was designed to enhance operational synergy, interoperability, and institutional coordination among participating security forces, enabling a unified response to the evolving security landscape in Upper Assam. The initiative aims to strengthen intelligence-sharing mechanisms, refine joint operational procedures, and build a common understanding of contemporary security challenges.

Over the course of the program, experienced instructors from the Indian Army conducted intensive sessions across a broad spectrum of operational and tactical subjects, including:

• Legal & Counter-Insurgency Frameworks: Legal aspects under AFSPA, Intelligence Gathering, and Joint Operational Planning.

• Tactical & Field Operations: Area and Route Domination, Joint Patrols, Mobile Vehicle Check Posts (MVCPs), Counter-IED measures, and Ambush/Counter-Ambush Drills.

• Technology & Modern Warfare: Cyber Security Awareness, Drone Operations, and Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS).

• Emergency Response & Command: Weapon Handling, Casualty Evacuation, Disaster Response, Joint Command Post operations, and Tactical Case Studies.

The curriculum combined classroom instruction with practical demonstrations, allowing participants to establish common operational procedures across agencies.

Officials highlighted that this initiative underscores the Indian Army’s commitment to building a coordinated, technology-enabled, and future-ready security framework. Through sustained collaboration, the participating forces aim to respond swiftly and effectively to emerging threats, further reinforcing peace and stability across Upper Assam.
