Sensational Incident: Police Officer Allegedly Commits Suicide in Assam’s Dibrugarh District
In a tragic turn of events, a police officer identified as Officer-in-Charge (OC) Anupam Gowala reportedly took his own life in Dibrugarh’s Lahowal locality. The incident, which occurred around 2 AM, saw Gowala using his service pistol to end his life. The deceased, hailing from Kakosang in Bokakhat, was identified as the OC of Namrup Police Station.
Reports indicate that a woman named Bishnupriya Lahon Gogoi sustained serious injuries in the incident and has been admitted to the Assam Medical College and Hospital in critical condition. The body of the deceased OC was recovered at the residence of Bipul Gogoi in Rangpuria.
